Religified

Under armor and North Face are brands are things i consider to be religified. The reason for this being that most people really love these two products for two different reasons. Under armor is mainly for the sports people, or people who are athletic, and are active that need cold gear or warm gear. There is also just regular under armor that does not have the warm and cold factor, that people just get to wear under other shirts, pants etc. To most people who really are into athletics under armor is considered top of the line compared to Nike and Adidas. North face is  religified to me because it is like the top brand of casual wear for men and women. They make t-shirts, pants, but to me the most known thing made by North Face to me are their jackets. The main people who have the North Face items are mainly geared to high school and up. North Face does not make many things for younger kids other than jackets. There are many people who follow this trend. These two brands have been religified by so many people wearing them, and liking them because of the way they look, and how warm they are makes people really like the two brands that i have mentioned.

  2. Sorry about the removed comment, i didnt see a way to edit it.

So just because a lot of people like something it is considered religified? A ton of people wear Nike, Hanes, Reebok, Adidas, Ralph Lauren, etc. too so why aren't they in the same category? I know you said you don't consider Nike or Adidas to be religified because Under Armor is considered better by some, but if someone would prefer Nike over Under Armor, does that make it a religion to them? What exactly qualifies something as "religified" to you?

  3. I'm not sure that I see really liking something as the same thing as nearly worshipping it. Do you think people have a fanatic devotion to these brands? I honestly haven't heard anybody speak of these in casual conversation, so I don't know how widespread their cultural impact might be.

  4. i do believe that nike and all other brands that have been mentioned can be considered religified. Also i believe that it depends on where you are or where you go that these brands are religified. I know that the school i went to under armor and nike and all of them were religified by the students, though i know this is not widespread or world wide i consider things that are around me to the places i go to be religified, and if you work in a place that sells all of these items, the customers do worship these brands and think they are the best and will not buy other brands even if they are the same thing.
